As you are aware the National Education Union (NEU) has declared strike action. The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’ pay, and not because of any issues at our academy.
I’m getting in touch to give you notice of a change in arrangements for the next strike days on Wednesday 5th July and Friday 7th July.
Most of our teachers are in the NEU.

Reception cohort 2023 please join us on Monday 26th June to see your child’s new school and meet our lovely team at 9.30am.
On Friday 5th May we will be having our own celebrations for His Majesty the King’s Coronation, which is taking place on Saturday 6th May, 2023.
Children can come into school wearing red, white and blue.
We will also be holding a Coronation Crown competition. Children can create their own wonderful crowns at home and bring them into school on Friday 5th May to be judged. There will be prizes on offer for the most creative crowns.

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March.
At Broadoak, we will be cosying up with a book! We are inviting all children (and staff) to come to school in their pyjamas and with their favourite book that they like to read at bedtime.
The school library service will be visiting school on Monday 27th February and Wednesday 1st March, they will be creating book corners with children and enjoying lots of quality children’s books.
We will also be having a book swap on World Book Day, if you have any unwanted books that are in good condition, please send them into school on Monday 27th February.

Broadoak is branching out to the community.
The community Hub is currently running between school and Broadoak community centre, whilst our Hub is under refurbishment.
Please note our hub is for EVERYONE in the community NOT just Broadoak parents
