Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

How to Apply

Oasis Academy Broadoak  is a fully inclusive Academy, welcoming children of all ability, backgrounds and faiths.

Reception Applications

Children are allocated places in accordance with the Local Authority’s Admissions Policy. This means that priority is given to children with Special Educational Needs or children who are looked after by the Local Authority. The next priority is children who have brothers and sisters at the Academy, followed by proximity of the child’s home address to the Academy. Entry to reception and admission to other year groups is centrally organised by the Local Authority.

Applications to our Academy can be made through the Tameside Metropolitan Borough Admissions portal

Nursery Applications

Research has shown that children who receive good quality pre-school education acquire the skills they need to make good progress at school. They gain the social and communication skills required to become confident and happy learners.

Early years provision is part of the Early Years Foundation Stage of education. It is an exciting time for children as they learn through play based activities to become more independent and develop their own identity. Your child will enjoy a curriculum that is organised around seven areas of learning:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding of the world
  • Expressive arts and design
