Little Squirrels Nursery

Wishing you a huge welcome from our Nursery team. Here at OA Broadoak, we understand the importance of your child having the best start in their education, and we work hard as a family of staff to make this happen. Working in partnership with you, your child will be guided through their emotional, social and physical development preparing them for primary school, in a play-led inspiring environment. 

Session times

We have 26 morning places (15 hours) in our nursery which can be extended to 30 hours if you are entitled to the funding.

Our nursery day starts at 8.50 a.m. and finishes at 11.50 a.m.  For those children who take up the offer of 30 hours, their finishing time will be 3.15 p.m. 

If you are running late or have a problem, do get in touch with us as soon as you can by telephone and we will do our best to support you. 

Start Dates

The children start at the academy in a small group, which enables staff to really support them to make relationships and helps them to learn the new routines and expectations with us. Many of our children start in September, but we also admit children throughout the year. Children can start our nursery the term after they have turned 3. We value every child for their individuality and know that each child will settle into the academy in their own time, so we work closely together to ensure a smooth transition.

Staffing

Our Early Years Lead oversees our Nursery and Reception classes and both age groups come together as one foundation stage. There are two teachers and at least four teaching assistants across the foundation stage.
