Character Development

At Oasis Academy Broadoak we know that developing the character of our young people, alongside their subject knowledge and skills, makes them more rounded citizens.  To help develop their character we follow two main strands: The Oasis 9 Habits and the The Broadoak Way.

The Oasis 9 Habits are the Oasis values that we aim to demonstrate in all that we do.  Our ethos values are lived out every day in who we are, and how we behave towards each other. In all our work we encourage each other to keep on becoming the best version of ourselves.

'The Broadoak Way' are our learning behaviours that we develop alongside the 9 Habits.  These are the learning attitudes that we we teach and encourage our children to use in all that they do.

 

Both the personal habits and the learning behaviours are celebrated in our class dojo reward system and are the words we regularly use to positively reinforce the qualities that make us the best version of ourselves.
